Fabulously Fuzzy February


Say goodbye to January and welcome in the new month with focus.

For many of us this past month was challenging for one or other reason: restraint, restriction, sacrifice and a returning back to reality. I invite you to reflect on how you coped and by what means you made it through the first month of the year?

I think the thing to remember is that it’s great to have goals, but life is to be enjoyed so if you didn’t quite achieve what you set out to, does it really matter in the grand scheme of things? Can you find the lesson in your achievement or lack thereof? There is no benefit or joy in beating yourself up or carrying around guilt. Dig deep for more self-love & then continue to look up and move forward. And if you need some motivation to keep you moving, then scroll down to the “Fuzz Speech” link.

Need motivation to move?

We all know that we should be moving & stretching to maintain a healthy body, but sometimes it’s just too tempting to stay bundled up on a couch, especially in this cold weather. I have the perfect antidote for you!

Whilst studying with Sarah Ramsden, the Yoga Coach for Man United & Man City Football Clubs, she shared with us a 5 minutes golden nugget. I now share this with you.

This workshop is aimed at yogi’s who have been practicing for at least 6 months and are relatively strong.

In this 3 hour workshop we will interactively explore the nature of vinyasa flow; we will learn how to advance safely; we will look at the role of the bandhas (body locks); and visit basic arms balances & basic inversions.

Yogi’s will be encouraged to ask questions in the first half as we explore the dynamics of asana.

The workshop will conclude with a 75 minute power yoga class which will ignite energy, challenge strength, flexibility & endurance.

In this comprehensive 3 hour workshop we will build on the yoga poses & breath work previously learnt. Modifications will be offered to those who missed the 1st session or are new to the practice. For those wanting to progress, this will give you the tools and confidence to keep your home practice moving safely forward.

If you're an experienced practitioner, this workshop will bring you back to basics and reinforce alignment & breath.

The 7 main chakras can be classified as swirling wheels of electromagnetic energy  that are arranged as an ascending column, starting at the base of the spine and ending at the crown of the head.

When the energy enters into a chakra and is blocked, it will try to express itself through a psychological disassociation & eventually manifesting through physical problems.

In this workshop we will be exploring all these 7 chakras. The first hour we will have an interactive discussion where we explore how imbalances & blockages in these chakras can manifest into negative physical & emotional symptoms and how we go about balancing them through the practice of yoga, specifically working with postures that relate to these energy centres and breathing techniques that will enhance their vitality.

There will also be an hour chakra flow where we incorporate a specifically designed sequence aimed at balancing these energy centres.

The Location ~ Taghazout

Located 40 min from Agadir international airport, it’s a short hop (only 2 to 3 hours) from most central European cities. It’s the closest place for any European surfer to get year round warm water, perfect waves, and a unique cultural experience.

The Yoga Space

We have two spaces to practice yoga. Both of them overlook the ocean with an amazing view of the sunset whilst enjoying the sound of the waves against the shore.

The Food

Hearty and healthy, our breakfasts include: fresh fruit, fruit juices, pancakes, freshly baked baguettes, eggs, yoghurts, cereals, cakes, omelettes, nuts, raisins, fresh coffee, tea, Moroccan delicacies and more. Served on the main terrace overlooking the surf it will keep you fuelled for a day at the beach or fill you up after a surf at dawn.

Packed lunch is taken on the beach comprising of homemade crispy baguettes, salad or pasta each accompanied with fresh fruit and sweet treats.

On the roof top overlooking Taghazout Bay you can expect to find a nightly offering of tapas and starters. Followed by meals ranging from Moroccan tagines, couscous and salads, to barbecues, vegetarian options, fresh fish and a delicious variety of international and Moroccan dishes to suit every palate
